13th Nepal Open 2012 : Task 3

What a great day it was, it started when my Brother arrived at around 2am. we had a quick drink and headed off to sleep.

The day began as always with a big pot of masala tea and porridge. then the wait began for everyone else to wake up so I would have someone to make fun of.

an almost full bus, one of the three that we are using during the comp, in addition to this we have all the company jeeps running pilots up all day.

the slow hike to takeoff begins, its good that its only 5 mins.

Finally we get a good task, for those of you that know the area, sarangkot, toropani, greenwall, korchone, dhampus greenwall, ridge out by lakeside, toropani then out across the lake and finally back to landing.

for anyone that saw this girl at takeoff the last couple of days, look out for a change tomorrow

for the first 10 mins above start I was all alone waiting for the rest of the lead gaggle to climb up.

and then everyone joined in time for the start

I stayed behind to get some photos of the flight line as I half bared it past them snapping shots

I stayed around Greenwall waiting for the second gaggle to het height and I lead the way across the valley to Korchone ridge

even the tandems were making their way across to Korchone

An amazing task today with a huge amount of pilots getting back to the LZ, no matter if they completed the task or not it was a great day of flying with great lift working all the usual places and on the transition from Dhampus we had a great line all the way back to Kaskikot.

Soo looking forward to what the next few days have in store for us.
